| Welcome to Listening Mothers We are very happy to offer the Listening mothers program to all mothers with young infants. The Listening Mothers program has been supporting infants and their moms to strengthen their relationships for over 10 years. The Listening Mothers program has drawn from brain science, attachment theory, and knowledge about emotional development to create a unique program that helps establish a strong foundation for a long lasting bond between children and their parents. Join a Group in Your area We have groups running throughout the Greater Seattle Area. We would love to have you join us for this wonderful journey of exploration of early mothering and infant development. New Programs Discipline from the Heart: A Reflective Approach to Parenting Led by: Lynne Brazg, MA and Larry Nicholas, MA MHC 8 Sessions of 2 hours each starting on May 6th This program will be designed specifically for parents of children 1 ½ up to 4 years old. The goal of these 8 weekly evening sessions is to help participants develop a more reflective approach to parenting. In these sessions, facilitators will guide parents to understanding both their child's behavior as well as the meaning and motivation of their own behavior. By the end of this program parents will be better able to read their child's verbal and non verbal cues and respond sensitively and effectively. Parents will also be able to explore and gain the skills to support long term behavior change. $200 for one participant an $225 for additional parent/guardian For more information and or to register for this group please click here: The Reflective Parenting Workshop Listening Mothers is happy to announce a NEW program for parents of toddlers up to three years old. If you would like to register for a Reflective Parenting Workshop or for more information please click here: Reflective Parenting Workshop Listening Mothers for Parents of Premature Babies North Seattle Please email if you are interested in joining such a group Listening Mothers is now offering groups for mothers of premature babies (those babies who needed to stay in the hospital before coming home). This group will explore, in addition to the usual Listening Mothers topics, the emotional side of having to leave your baby in the hospital and the roller coaster ride that many experience until the baby comes home. This group is for Mothers of any age baby (who is now at home)up to the crawling stage. If you would like more information on this group please click here to email us. Listening Mothers Workshop for Parents of Internationally Adopted Children Listening Mothers will now be offering a session for parents of children who have been adopted from abroad.
